Analyticity of a thermoelastic plate with variable coefficients

A thermoelastic plate with variable coefficients in the absence of dissipative boundary mechanisms is considered. Using C 0 -semigroup theory and some techniques in partial differential equations, it is shown that the corresponding C 0 -semigroup is analytic and hence the exponential stability of the system is concluded.
