Optimization problems for eigenvalues of -Laplace equations

We study minimization and maximization problems for the principal eigenvalue of a p -Laplace equation in a bounded domain Ω , with weight χ D , where D ⊂ Ω is a variable subset with a fixed measure α . We investigate monotonicity, continuity and differentiability with respect to α of the optimizing eigenvalues.
