Dimensions of slices through a class of generalized Sierpinski sponges

In this paper, we discuss the intersections of a class of generalized Sierpinski sponges in R n with an ( n − 1 ) -dimensional hyperplane of integer orthogonal direction. We prove that under a suitable congruence condition, the dimension equals the dimension of the generalized Sierpinski sponge minus 1.
