A remark on decomposition of continuous functions

In this note, we show that, given a real β ∈ [ 1 , 2 ] , any real-valued continuous function on the unit interval can be decomposed as a sum of two real-valued continuous functions whose graphs have Hausdorff dimension β , which answers affirmatively a question raised by Bayart and Heurteaux (2012) [2].
