On Curto’s open problem

Let A be a unital C ∗ algebra, it is shown that A is prime if and only if σ T ( ( L A , R B ) , A ) = σ ( A ) × σ T ( R B , A ) , where A ∈ A and B = ( B 1 , … , B m ) is a commuting m -tuple of positive elements in A .
