Surface homeomorphisms with zero-dimensional singular set

We prove that if ƒ is an orientation-preserving homeomorphism of a closed orientable surface M2 whose singular set Σ(ƒ) is totally disconnected, then ƒ is topologically conjugate to a conformal transformation.
