On embeddings of smooth covering spaces in vector bundles

The existence of fibrewise embeddings of smooth coverings of n-dimensional manifolds in n-dimensional vector bundles is investigated. The exploitation of the normal bordism approach to embedding problems enables us to correct errors occurring in the previous literature.
