Boundaries of CAT(0) groups of the form Γ = G × H

Boundaries of groups which admit geometric actions on CAT(0) spaces are not yet well-defined because the homeomorphism question of Gromovʹs has not been answered. This question, as well as the Tits metric question is answered affirmatively for CAT(0) groups of the form G × H where both factors are nonelementary word hyperbolic groups.
