Weak factorizations of continuous set-valued mappings

The paper is devoted to a general factorization theorem for “continuous” set-valued mappings defined on arbitrary topological spaces. This result fits naturally into the selection theory showing that several known selection theorems remain valid under minimal hypotheses. Also, the result is successful in proving new theorems for the existence of selections on spaces of closed subsets.
