Generic properties of -actions on the interval

We prove that generic Z 2 -actions ( f , g ) on the interval [ 0 , 1 ] have the property that both f and g have the periodic shadowing and strong tolerance stability properties, as well as their chain recurrent sets are the Cantor sets (Theorem 1).
