  • Abstract
    Let f be a smooth self-map of a closed manifold of dimension m ⩾ 3 , r be a fixed natural number. In this paper we introduce the topological invariant NJD r m [ f ] , which is equal to the minimal number of r-periodic points in the smooth homotopy class of f.
