Uniform approximations of volume preserving homeomorphisms of

In this article we show that any conservative volume preserving homeomorphism of R n can be approximated in the uniform topology by transitive one. We also prove some results about the approximation of such homeomorphisms by dyadic permutations, proving a version of a result due to Lax.
