Quantum Chern-Simons theory out of moduli space path integrals

Quantization of Chern-Simons field theory by means of path integrals on the moduli space of SU(2)-bundles over T2 is carried out. The method proves to be very effective in the description of the Hilbert space and in the computation of some observables. The shift of the coupling constant appears as being due to the anomaly of quantum theory with respect to a rotational symmetry. Verlinde algebra arises as the quantum Clebsch-Gordan formula in a very economical way.
