Asymptotics of bound state for laterally coupled waveguides

A system of two waveguides coupled laterally through small windows is considered. The asymptotics (in the width of windows) of an eigenvalue close to the threshold are obtained. The cases of one and several coupling windows are studied. The technique is that of matching the asymptotic expansions of the solutions.
