Abstract :
One of the most important challenges that learners face in second language learning is learning vocabulary. It is an essential tool for learning especially for young students who should possess a level of interest in reading to enable them to understand and appreciate materials and tools for learning. Learners are in fact encouraged to use all their potential in language learning when the materials are authentic, interesting, and relevant. They become motivated to do their best when they are attentive and have a good concentration in their learning. This study attempts to investigate the relationship between learner`s interest topic on vocabulary achievement. It was hypothesized that learner`s topic interest has a positive influence on the student`s achievement of the vocabulary in English at schools and universities.
