Stability analysis of an S-I epidemic model with time delay

In this paper, we have considered an S-I epidemic model with time delay. Using the Nyquist criterion on the characteristic equation, an estimate on the length of delays is given for which a system which is stable in the absence of delays remains stable. Further, conditions are derived under which there can be no change of stability.
