Abstract :
The character of dispersion of the Rayleigh wave in porous media is investigated. It is shown that the speed of the Rayleigh wave is proportional to the second speed of the longitudinal wave in the reversible hydrodynamic approximation. The problem on the excitation of the quasi-stationary electromagnetic field by the Rayleigh wave in the conductor filling the porous-elastic half-space in the presence of the external magnetic field is solved.
