Oscillation and nonoscillation in linear delay or advanced difference equations

Linear delay or advanced difference equations with variable coefficients and not (necessarily) constant delays or advanced arguments are considered, and some new oscillation and nonoscillation criteria are given. More precisely, sufficient conditions for the oscillation of all solutions are obtained; moreover, conditions which guarantee the existence of positive solutions are derived.
