Modeling and analysis of a laminated beam

In this paper, we derive the equations of motion for a laminated beam of three layers, of which the two surface-layers are linearly elastic and the middle layer is viscoelastic. Well-posedness as well as the asymptotic behavior of the solutions are discussed using the semigroup method.
