Domain decomposition methods applied to sedimentary basin modeling

A study of several domain decomposition methods is realized within the context of sedimentary basin modeling. We consider a simplified model for a single-phase flow in a sedimentary basin given by a nonlinear parabolic equation with strongly discontinuous coefficients. Conjugate gradient and interface relaxation methods are first compared on a linearized equation and then generalized to the nonlinear model.
