Abstract
We present a grid-free numerical method to solve reaction-diffusion problems in two-dimensional bounded domains, based on the combination of stochastic and deterministic techniques. A gradient random walk models the diffusion, and the reaction term involves deterministic growth or decay of particles. The application to the simulation of the cardiac potential evolution in a model of cardiac tissue is shown.
