Numerical methods for approximating functional gains in LQR boundary control problems

This paper focuses on a comparison of numerical schemes for linear quadratic regulator (LQR) problems defined by partial differential equations. Numerical results are presented for control of a one-dimensional heat equation using Dirichlet boundary controls.
