Propagation of waves in micropolar solid-solid semispaces in the presence of a compressional wave source in the upper solid substratum

This paper deals with the propagation of two-dimensional waves in micropolar solid-solid semispaces due to the presence of a compressional wave source in the upper solid substratum. In the absence of the micropolar effect, this analysis is in excellent agreement with that of Stoneley waves at the interface of the two semi-infinite elastic media.
