Stochastic modelling of traffic flow

This paper deals with a stochastic interpretation of experimental information related to vehicular traffic on roads. The analysis is first related to equilibrium conditions, then it is developed towards interpretation of nonequilibrium conditions and it is addressed to some proposals to revise classical kinetic models.
