Abstract :
Cr (III) sorption on strong acid exchanger Amberlite.IR-120(H+) was studied as a function of time and temperature using CrCl3.6H2O solution. The film diffusion equation was used to examine the kinetic data and the exchange rate was found to be governed by the film diffusion process. From the rate constant values, the energies of activation are calculated using the Arrhenius equation. The low activation energy confirmed the diffusional nature of the sorption process.
