Time-integration of a hypoplastic constitutive equation in finite element modelling

This paper presents the frame of a new method for the time-integration of a granular materialʹs constitutive equation in finite element modelling. The constitutive equation considered here is a hypoplastic model developed by Wu. The paper compares the theoretical and numerical performances of the new method with two existing strategies for the integration of hypoplastic constitutive equations.
