Determining modes for 2-D micropolar fluid flows

Micropolar fluids were introduced by A.C. Eringen in [1], this model is a generalization of Navier-Stokes model in that sense that it takes into account the microstructure of fluid. We define the notion of determining modes for 2-D micropolar fluid flows and estimate the number of them in terms of parameters of model. Finally we compare our result with analogous result for NSE in [2].
