Convergence of Green’s functions of ordinary differential equations

We study Green’s functions for an ordinary differential operator L and the equation L u − s u = f on the infinite line and bounded but large intervals. Assuming that the spectral parameter s lies in the resolvent of L or is a simple eigenvalue of L , we give conditions for the convergence of Green’s functions as the interval length goes to infinity.
