Electrochemical fluorination of organo-element compounds: Synthesis of new perfluorinated substances

A brief survey of the application of the Simons process for the preparation of perfluorinated organo-sulfur and organo-phosphorus compounds is given. Electrochemical properties of different kinds of organo-fluorine compounds and their possible use as starting materials for the electrochemical synthesis of new fluorinated substances is discussed.
