Abstract
The trifluoromethylation of 2-aryl-1,1-dibromo-1-alkenes with CF3Cu under palladium catalysis gave bistrifluoromethylated compounds (2), whereas under the same reaction conditions, monotrifluoromethylated products (3) were obtained exclusively in the case of 2-alkyl-1,1-dibromo-1-alkenes.
