Cp2TiCl2(cat.)/Zn system promoted addition reaction of bromodifluoroacetate with the electron-deficient gem-dicyanoalkenes

The addition reaction of bromodifluoroacetate with the electron-deficient alkene — gem-dicyanoalkene was promoted smoothly by titanium biscyclopentadienyl dichloride (Cp2TiCl2)/Zn system in a THF solvent under mild conditions in moderate to good yield to provide the corresponding addition–reduction α,α-difluoroester product.
