Abstract
A new derivative of β-cyclodextrin (CD) has been made incorporating the phenyl group through the use of click reaction. The resulting product suggests a self-association phenomenon through the formation of inclusion compound between the phenyl group and CD. The product has been characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy.
