Abstract :
Ferrocenylimidazolium salts have been synthesised as novel anion receptors. 1H NMR studies showed that these compounds bind Cl−, Br−, I−, NO3− and HSO4− anions strongly in CDCl3 through C–H···X− hydrogen bonding.
