Abstract
New 2,4-diaryl chromeno[3,4c]pyridin-5-ones were prepared starting from β-ketoester, salicylacylaldehydes and 2-acetylpyridine. Some ruthenium(II) complexes using these cyclometallating ligands were also synthesized.
