Abstract :
Convergent synthesis of HIJK ring model compound 1 of ciguatoxin is described. The present synthesis relied on a palladium-catalyzed Suzuki cross-coupling reaction between eight-membered ketene acetal phosphate 2 and seven-membered alkylborane 6.
