Abstract :
Oxazolidinones are obtained by the cyclization of mesylates derived from N-Boc-β-aminoalcohols. Hydrolysis of the N-Boc-oxazolidinones regenerates the protected aminoalcohols with inverted configuration at the hydroxy group.
