Abstract
The regiospecific 2A,2C-disulfonation of β-cyclodextrin has been achieved by the reaction of β-cyclodextrin with 1,4-dibenzoylbenzene-3′,3′′-disulfonyl imidazole and molecular sieves in DMF.
