Abstract
Irradiation of an acetonitrile solution containing 1-dicyanomethylene-2-isopropyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene and allyltrimethylsilane in the presence of phenanthrene afforded r-1-allyl-1-dicyanomethyl-t-2-isopropyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene in a highly diastereoselective manner.
