Electrolytic partial fluorination of organic compounds. Part 45: Highly regioselective anodic monofluorination of (E)-3-benzylidene-2,3-dihydrochroman-4-ones

Anodic monofluorination at the position α to the oxygen atom of chroman-4-one derivatives was successfully carried out: this is the first selective electrochemical fluorination of fused-type, oxygen-containing heterocyclic compounds.
