Abstract :
Two kinds of novel nitroalkene reductases were isolated from bakerʹs yeast. Reduction of a trisubstituted nitroalkene by these reductases afforded the corresponding nitroalkane with excellent enantioselectivity, moderate diastereoselectivity, and in good yield.
