Abstract :
A new stilbene dimer, heimiol A was isolated from the heartwood of Neobalanocarpus heimii, in addition to the four known oligostilbenoids, balanocarpol, copalliferol A, hopeaphenol and vaticaphenol A. The structures and relative configuration were established by means of 2D NMR spectroscopy including COSY, HMQC, HMBC and NOESY.
