Heptakis-6-(5-methylene-ureido-5′-methyl-2,2′-bithiazolyl)-cyclomaltoheptaose as a new fluorescent polydentate ligand

The present work describes the one-pot synthesis of the new intrinsically fluorescent heptakis-(bithiazolyl-ureido)-β-cyclodextrin podand in a 29% global yield, by the direct ‘phosphinimide’ approach. Preliminary results on fluorescence properties are reported.
