Selective mono-functionalisation at the 6-position of (R)-(+)-2,2′-diethoxy-1,1′-binaphtalene

New (R)-(+)-1,1′-binaphtalene derivatives displaying one bromo-, carbaldehyde, hydroxymethyl- or chloromethyl-substituent at the 6-position have been prepared and characterised.
