Abstract :
The bioreduction with immobilized bakerʹs yeast of several ketones was carried out in a 10:1 [bmim]PF6 ionic liquid/water mix. The reductions produced alcohols with comparable enantioselectivities to bakerʹs yeast reductions in alternative media.
