Abstract :
Nucleophilic addition of the chiral lithium enolates of (S)-(−)-4-benzyl-2-oxazolidinone acetamide with N-tosyl arylaldehyde imines gives β-aryl-β-amino acid derivatives in good yields and excellent diastereoselectivity.
