Unique homo and hetero carboxylic acid dimer-mediated supramolecular assembly: rational analysis of crystal structure of 3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid and 4-(N-methylamino)benzoic acid

3,5-Dinitrobenzoic acid and 4-(N-methylamino)benzoic acid form co-crystals comprising homo and hetero carboxylic dimers that can be rationalized through acceptor–donor interaction between -NO2 and -NH(CH3) groups.
