  • Abstract
    The new metal-free phthalocyanines 9,10-fused symmetrically in the peripheral positions with four diazadithiatetraoxa and diazahexaoxamacrobicycles, respectively, have been synthesized by bicyclotetramerization of isoindolinediimine derivatives of cryptands 7 and 8 and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H and 13C NMR, UV–vis and MS spectroscopic data.
