Abstract
A novel enantiopure 1,2-diamine (5) having two phenolic hydroxy groups was attached into chloromethylated polystyrene through benzyl ether linkage, which was used as a chiral ligand of the catalyst in asymmetric hydrogenation of acetophenone.
