Abstract
Electrochemical redox properties of self-doped copolymer of aniline and orthanilic acid electrodeposited on glassy carbon has been studied. The best relation between both monomers has been found to be 10:1. The morphology of this polymer is a porous and open structure, due to this structure it is possible the electrochemical deposition of Ni-cyclam with a good electrocatalyst properties. The electrocatalysis of this electrode was carried out in solutions containing methanol in basic medium. The methanol electrooxidation mechanism is similar to that encountered on other catalytic electrodes.
