Abstract
A novel glucose biosensor based on the electrocatalytic reduction of H2O2 generated by the enzymatic reaction was developed by employing single-walled carbon nanotube/nile blue A as an enzyme immobilization matrix. The biosensor exhibited a rapid response (ca. 5 s), a low detection limit (10 μM), a wide and useful linear range (0.1–5.0 mM), as well as good stability and reproducibility. In addition, the common interfering species, ascorbic acid and uric acid, did not cause any interference due to the use of a low operating potential. The biosensor can be used to determine the concentration of glucose in real sample.
